I often wonder how certain foods were label the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Although Turkey was abundant in the region and the knowledge source of food what was mostly eaten was Duck, Geese and Swans According to what the traditionally known as the first Thanksgiving was the 1621 feast between the pilgrims and the Wampanoag at the Plymouth colony which consisted of waterfowl, venison, ham, lobster, berries, fruit and pumpkin.
